US Export Compliance

ITAR & Export Information

Exporting F-111 Parts to Australia

We know export paperwork can feel like a barrier — it doesn't have to be. F-111 parts exported from the United States may need to meet ITAR or EAR requirements, and we are here to help you work through that process. Reach out to us first and we will sort it out together.

ITAR — International Traffic in Arms Regulations

ITAR applies to defence articles, technical data and services listed on the United States Munitions List. Exporting an ITAR-controlled item generally requires approval from the US Department of State.

EAR — Export Administration Regulations

EAR is administered by the US Department of Commerce and covers commercial, dual-use and many former military items. An EAR-controlled item may have a specific Export Control Classification Number (ECCN), or it may be classified as EAR99. EAR99 does not automatically mean unrestricted — the destination, recipient and intended use must still be checked.

Older F-111 Components

Many older F-111 components — particularly obsolete, unserviceable analogue instruments or parts intended only for historical restoration — may no longer fall under ITAR. However, age, condition and non-airworthy status do not by themselves determine the classification.

We Will Help You Through the Process

We understand that export compliance can feel daunting. The Dump and Burn Project is committed to working alongside US donors and sellers to ensure every transfer is handled correctly. Before Any Part Is Exported

The US owner or exporter should confirm:

Whether the item is ITAR, EAR-controlled or outside both regimes

Its USML category, ECCN or EAR99 status

Whether a licence, licence exception or export declaration is required

That Australia, the recipient and the restoration end use are permitted

The Dump and Burn Project supports lawful export only. We will actively assist US donors and sellers with end-use documentation and compliance paperwork — contact us and we will work through the requirements with you.
